There are many reasons why we recommend WorkPoint 365 to our customers. In the following, we will try to cover all aspects of WorkPoint 365 and examine it from different perspectives: the consultant’s, the IT department’s, and the business’s.

The Consultant’s Perspective

From a consulting perspective, WorkPoint 365 offers numerous advantages. When working with WorkPoint 365, we as consultants receive a lot of pre-built functionality right from the start. This means that we can spend our time understanding the client’s business and configuring value-based solutions instead of coding and developing solutions from scratch.

If we were to highlight four advantages that make a real difference for us as a consulting firm, they would be:

Predefined system architecture

In traditional SharePoint projects, a lot of time is spent building the solution from scratch and upgrading it when new versions of SharePoint are released. When building solutions in WorkPoint 365, the entire system architecture is predefined from the start. This means that we can quickly build solutions and usable prototypes.

Modular structure

Our clients are often on a journey, and their progress varies when we get involved. However, what is common for our clients is that they rarely know the final destination, and the journey evolves along the way. As consultants, we want to meet our clients’ needs throughout the journey. This requires flexibility, adaptability, and scalability in the solution. WorkPoint 365 has a modular structure and functions like building blocks that we can combine in various ways. This allows us to add, expand, and remodel solutions endlessly.

Evergreen

With a traditional proprietary system, the solution needs to be upgraded to a newer version from time to time. This process is time-consuming and costly. When the solution runs on SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, it becomes part of the world’s largest IT ecosystem with rolling system updates. This is easy, convenient, and cost-effective. However, it places significant demands on the solutions we deliver, as updates can conflict with solution configurations and features. It can be even worse if the consultant develops special components that do not automatically update from Microsoft.

WorkPoint 365 ensures that the system is constantly updated in relation to Microsoft’s updates. Additionally, WorkPoint offers a wide range of standard features and configuration options that are not available in standard SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365. This means that we do not need to develop special components, and we have the assurance that the solution performs optimally in relation to Microsoft’s updates.

However, the problem can be that the framework is simply too limiting, making it practically impossible to deliver a satisfactory result. WorkPoint 365 is an open platform that is native to Microsoft 365. This means that we are not limited by the possibilities of WorkPoint 365. We can incorporate the entire Microsoft 365 toolkit into our work, such as Teams, Power Platform (including Power Apps, Power Automate (Flows), and Power BI).

WorkPoint 365 relies entirely on Azure AD. This means single sign-on, and WorkPoint 365’s role and permission model are fully managed by Azure AD. Additionally, WorkPoint 365 makes it easier to manage permissions when sharing cases, projects, folders, documents, etc., externally.

Work in all familiar Microsoft programs

When working in a proprietary system, you either work within the system’s framework or outside the system in Microsoft 365. That’s not the case with WorkPoint 365. Easy and intuitive email journalizing 

WorkPoint Express is a plugin that works in Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. In WorkPoint Express, it is possible to handle 80% of tasks within the Office programs. For example, creating, searching, opening, and working with cases, projects, contracts, documents, emails, and letter templates. In Outlook, you can easily drag and drop emails and documents to cases, projects, and contracts. It is also possible to use intelligent suggestions from the system for journalizing and auto-journalizing.
